Do I need a referral to make an appointment?2025-10-03T11:20:24-04:00

The majority of our patients come to us after referral from their physician. Remember, you get to choose your physical therapist, so ask for your local hometown physical therapy professionals at Western Pennsylvania Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinic. State law and many insurance plans now allow certified physical therapists to evaluate and treat patients without a physician referral. All of our therapists meet these requirements and can begin treatment without a referral if your insurance permits.

Do you provide transportation?2025-09-05T17:07:27-04:00

Direct Access means you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral for up to 30 days. If you don’t have a physician, you can come directly to us for an evaluation and treatment plan. If further medical care is needed, we can connect you with a physician who can provide a diagnosis and refer you back for therapy if appropriate.
